Decent weather for the weekend. We did have some fog on one day that required combining mid-bore and big bore but everyone played nice so very little loss in on-track time. You can see some examples of the fog in the photos below. We had some rain too but it was manageable. The scenery and Fall colours in the Fingers Lakes are always great. We stopped in to see friend's weekend digs at the newly renovated Seneca Lodge. One of these days we have to stay there.

I made my first trip here in 1968 to see the US F1 Grand Prix (J. Stewart won with G. Hill and Surtees also on podium). I went to five more F1 races at the Glen and they were always in the first week of October. Now, VRG runs their vintage event on this exact, same weekend, so it has a very familiar vibe to me. The VRG tech sticker that Tivvy gave out this year was made from my 1969 ticket for the USGP.

Our VRG Formula Ford Challenge Series continues to attract more entrants. We had an excellent turnout of FF cars for this event. Also, thanks to our partners in the BMW Club for helping to support this event. It was exciting to watch the "modern" car racing!

The Australian Pursuit Race went smoothly with fast cars catching the slower cars during the session. Thanks to all who participated. Greg Miller took 1st in an S2, at one point turning a 2:06.251 (the fastest lap of the entire weekend). Burton August was 2nd in a Mustang. John Wood finished 3rd in a BMW.
